There are many types of pellet storage available to the wood pellet consumer.
All New, Wood Pellet Fabric Bins

This 5-ton flexible wood pellet bin is set up in a work shop and automatically sends pellets to the Pellergy hot air furnace.
In 2011 Pellergy developed a new line of fabric storage bins that are cost-effective and easy to set up compared to earlier bin options. The new bins are constructed of a special heavy-duty fabric, lumber from your local yard, and metal connectors fabricated especially for Pellergy.
Metal and/or flexible piping connect the bin to the fill port on the side of the building providing a seamless course from bulk wood pellet delivery truck to the bin. Because it is made of breathable fabric, the entire bin acts as a filter, trapping any dust that occurs as pellets are blown into the bin.
Pellergy’s continuous dedication to innovation, testing, and product improvement is evident in this new line of bins. The are available in a variety of sizes to suit almost any space. Product sheet.
Standard 550LBS Working Wood Pellet Hopper

Pellergy burner fed directly from the 550lbs Pellergy hopper. This is the standard PB-3550 wood pellet burner setup. This system would be filled with bagged pellets.
Pellergy’s Working Hopper (which comes standard with each system) is capable of holding 550 LBS of wood pellets, enough for a typical house to go 10-12 days without refilling. This is a distinct feature of our system. Most other wood pellet boilers and furnaces (central heat units) on the market today only hold between 120 and 200 LBS of pellets and need to be refilled much more often. Furthermore, the working hopper on a typical wood pellet stove only holds 40 LBS of pellets.
For installations where customers are not using bulk delivery, their system is filled using 40LBS bags of pellets. The pellets are dumped into the Working Hopper of the system.
Outdoor Storage

An exterior silo installed outside a greenhouse that is completely heated using a Pellergy PB-3550 wood pellet burner system. The burner is fed directly from the silo using the standard Pellergy auger. The exterior silo is filled directly from a bulk wood pellet delivery truck using a 4” flexible deliery hose or a standard auger truck and has a capacity of 4.5-Tons.
Creative Storage Solutions

Two Pellergy flexible bins installed in a homeowner’s garage. Each of these flexible bins has a capacity of 1.25-tons and are filled directly from a bulk wood pellet delivery truck using a 4” flexible delivery hose. The homeowner operates a wood pellet stove that is filled using the 5-Gallon buckets shown.
Pellergy also offers bulk storage bins for wood pellet stove customers who simply want to use bulk wood pellets rather than bagged pellets. The advantage is that the pellets are delivered directly to the bin: no moving, stacking and handling 40LBS bags of pellets. Additionally, there is a large amount of plastic saved by moving to bulk. Normally, every ton of wood pellets comes in 50 forty-pound bags, which are usually double-wrapped in additional plastic. This creates a higher environmental impact and more waste the customer has to throw away. Any of Pellergy’s bulk storage systems can be used to store pellets for standard wood pellet stoves. Pellets are transported from the bulk storage bin to the stove using a standard, reusable 5-gallon bucket.
Other Wood Pellet Storage Options

We have discontinued manufacture of our steel wood pellet bins because the newer Pellergy fabric bins are lighter, less expensive and are much faster to set up. We still have stock on our steel bins if your installation requires one. This steel wood pellet bin has a capacity of 4-tons and is filled directly from a bulk wood pellet delivery truck using a 4” flexible delivery hose .

A competitor’s wood pellet boiler (HS Tarm) fed with bulk pellets using a Pellergy automated auger system and a stick-framed bulk wood pellet storage bin that the customer constructed on-site. The boiler’s hopper is automatically filled with the Pellergy auger system. The stick-framed bin has a capacity of 6-Tons and is filled directly from a bulk wood pellet delivery truck using a 4” flexible delivery hose.
