What is required by the weekly maintenance?

Weekly maintenance consists of cleaning the "clinkers" from the burner's main combustion chamber. Depending on the installation of the burner to the boiler, this is either done by hinging the burner from the boiler and scraping the chamber clean or by removing the chamber from the back of the burner and dumping the clinkers from the combustion chamber. The entire process takes about 5-minutes at first and two to three minutes once you become familiar with the system. Most of the time you will find that the weekly cleanout is also a good time to refill the pellet hopper.
